World Help for Japan : Home
World Help for Japan is a global movement for performing musicians to ply their talents to benefit Japanan disaster relief efforts, now. All proceeds go directly to the United Nations Central Emergency Response Fund, Bill Clinton’s Japan Relief Fund, and the American Red Cross International Response Fund.

How: Orchestras, ensembles, street musicians, rock bands. . . come one and all. Set your event time and venue, register your event on our “Create an Event” link at the top of this page, tell and tweet your contacts, call your local paper for free media coverage, put up a “WORLD HELP FOR Japan” banner stating your purpose. Collect event money and donate 100% to:

To speed up relief efforts, the UN has set up a central donation facility — the Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) — collecting contributions year-round to help ensure that funds are on-hand to allow the UN to save lives. |

| International Medical Corps
An International Medical Corps emergency response team is on the ground in Japan and is coordinating with local officials to support response efforts and fill critical gaps. The team is assessing post disaster conditions and prepping critical supplies for delivery to the earthquake zone. They will focus their efforts on earthquake and tsunami affected communities that have not yet been reached. |
